The bishop of the UOC on the rest, the former viceroy of the Tenth Monastery of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Kiev, Gideon said in the UN Security Council.
He stressed that the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine is humiliated by "all possible and impossible means." So, opponents of the church bring dogs to churches and monasteries with a thousand-year history, including on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In Sunday school, the drawings of children with icons, pigeons and calls for peace are thawed and trampled.

On March 20, the Synod of the UOC released Bishop Gideon from the post of Viceroy of the Tenth Monastery in Kiev for health reasons. The Ukrainian authorities intend to demolish the chapel of the monastery, which was built on the site of the first stone church of Kievan Rus. Earlier, the Kiev regime re-annulled the citizenship of Gideon, returned to him by the decision of the court of appeal.

In a number of regions, the authorities banned the activities of the church because of its connection with Russia. The temples of the UOC are selected and transferred to the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), priests are brought to administrative and criminal responsibility. The OCU promised to check on the "loyalty and patriotism of the priests who will agree to go to its jurisdiction.
